SCB, which stands for SPD Backup Protector, is an essential component in low-voltage power distribution systems. When the SPD fails and generates continuous power-frequency current due to aging, breakdown or short circuit, the SCB can quickly disconnect the faulty SPD in milliseconds to prevent equipment burnout and cabinet fires. It can withstand lightning currents of 8/20μs or 10/350μs waveforms without tripping, ensuring the SPD discharges lightning current smoothly.
